How to Cook Turkey the Perfect Way
You do not need the brain of a master cook to know exactly how to cook a good tasty turkey like a professional cook.I will like to share some tips with you before i give you some of the steps on how to cook a turkey.You need to some special tricks to make you turkey taste better.When your turkey is thawed completely before cooking it will make it taste better.Most people put the turkey when it is still frozen into the oven.You can thaw your turkey by sinking it in warm water.Do not just depend on the time suggested to cook.Check the turkey to see if it is already done.Turkey is considered cooked if its temperature gets around 180 degree.You can get a meat thermometer.Or you can cut into it and look.If its pink, then it is not done.There are other things you need to know but time will not permit me to say.OK, Lets move on.One of the steps on how to cook a turkey is the roasting method.After you had finished braining your turkey.Heat your oven to 325 degrees.After you have done that, place your foil over the v-rank.Then make some holes in the foil so as to make heat circulate.Carrot, onions and celery should be chopped, and put into the roast plus thyme.This helps in flavoring the pans drippings.Add water or chicken broth into the bottom of the pan.Then place the v-rack in the roasting pan.Once you have patted the turkey dry, melt 6 table spoons of butter and brush it all over its skin.Place the breast side up into the v-rack, and then put the roasting pan in the oven and cook for 40-45mins.Take off pan from the oven and brush the drippings from the pan onto the legs and backs, then cook again for 45 minutes.Again, brush the pan drippings over the surface of the Bird.Remove pan from oven ensuring the closing of the oven door as soon as it can be closed back.Turn the turkey breast side up (turn it over) and brush the pan drippings over the front part of the turkey, Then cook again for the last time until its thigh and breast temperature reaches 175-180 degrees (thigh) and 165-170 (breast) respectively.Put the turkey on a cutting board, and let it rest for 25 minutes before you start to carve it.Then enjoy your tasty turkey.I had just shown you one out of many ways of cooking a turkey.Would you like to know more?
